The Wild West Arena is an incredible venue that has been home to some of the best shows to come to North Platte, Nebraska. These include the NEBRASKAland DAYS, which has called the arena home for about 50 years! The facility is an older one but is maintained with conscientious maintenance to make sure that it’s at the peak of safety and relevance as a rodeo and entertainment venue. NEBRASKAland DAYS uses funds generated from their event to help maintain the venue alongside enthusiastic donations from visitors and fans who have come to love the arena as much as its owners and operators.

But it’s not just about maintaining the venue.

The Wild West Arena Foundation is a group that assists in maintaining the grounds as well as planning, developing, and conserving to make sure the grounds remain at the cutting edge for its style of shows. And this has led to a variety of groundbreaking improvements in the last few years, including a brand new club building that opened in 2018. And the Foundation intends to further develop the arena so that it continues to be an amazing venue for concerts, rodeos, live shows, and NEBRASKAland DAYS.

NEBRASKAland DAYS

North Platte’s first NEBRASKAland DAYS event was held in 1968, three years before The Wild West Arena was completed. When the new venue was opened, NEBRASKAland DAYS moved their operations to the new venue and have called it home since. Since then, the celebration has been a source of tradition and community pride for Nebraska and has won many awards for their efforts. The Celebration has an annual impact of about $21.5 million for the Lincoln County economy and the Wild West Arena. And fans agree that they could not have done it without the support of the Arena and its staff.
